Hot-Swap Batteries
Hot-swap battery design lets a technician replace internal batteries while the UPS continues to feed the critical load — there is no need to schedule downtime or transfer load to a bypass. The Vision Dual page is explicit about this (“hot swappable batteries without the need to disconnect the critical inverter load”). The Sentinel Pro range is also described elsewhere as hot-swap-capable.
This is operationally significant because UPS batteries are the most-replaced component in a UPS lifecycle (typical design life 3–10 years), so the difference between “schedule a maintenance window” and “swap during business hours” is meaningful for sites running 24/7 operations.
