SURMOUNT-MMO

SURMOUNT-MMO (NCT05556512) is Eli Lilly’s Phase 3 cardiovascular outcomes trial of tirzepatide versus placebo in adults with obesity and established cardiovascular disease, specifically excluding patients with T2D to avoid confounding with tirzepatide’s glucose-lowering effects. It is the only registered trial that will provide tirzepatide-vs-placebo MACE endpoint data. Primary completion is estimated October 2027.
