TREASURE-CKD
TREASURE-CKD (NCT05536804) is an ongoing Eli Lilly-sponsored mechanistic trial of tirzepatide in participants with overweight or obesity and chronic kidney disease (CKD), with or without Type 2 diabetes. It is designed to assess tirzepatide’s effects on kidney function — specifically eGFR slopes and UACR changes — in a CKD-enriched population, likely including patients with lower eGFR than the SURPASS programme enrolled. Results are expected to be the first prospective data on tirzepatide in patients approaching eGFR <30. No results published as of April 2026.
