BAMSE
BAMSE (Children, Allergy, Milieu, Stockholm, Epidemiology) is a Swedish population-based birth cohort of 4,089 children recruited in 1994–1996 at about 2 months of age. In 3,208 children followed to age 12, persistent infantile eczema predicted eczema (33.3%), asthma (17.2%) and rhinitis (43.9%) in preadolescence (Ballardini 2014). BAMSE also linked AD severity to asthma onset (Medicina 2024).
