Folliculitis
Folliculitis is inflammation of hair follicles that shows up as small red bumps or pustules. In toddler eczema care it is a known side effect of thick emollients and of overusing Wet Wrap Therapy, where too much ointment sits under a covering for long periods; the National Eczema Association advises stopping wraps until the bumps clear. The NHS also lists folliculitis among emollient side effects (Emollient Therapy).
