Avenanthramides
Avenanthramides are phenolic compounds found in oats at about 300 ppm. In keratinocytes they inhibited NF-κB activation and IL-8 release at concentrations as low as 1 part per billion. Applied to the skin of mice, they reduced inflammation and scratching (Sur 2008). They are proposed as the main anti-inflammatory and anti-itch component of Colloidal Oatmeal, but no human eczema trial has tested them on their own.
