Evidence-Based Dermatology
Evidence-based dermatology is the practice of basing skin-disease care on systematic reviews and well-designed trials rather than tradition. The University of Nottingham’s Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology, under Professor Hywel Williams, founded and coordinated Cochrane Skin from 1997, arguing many dermatology trials asked questions unimportant to patients. Its approach underlies the Cochrane eczema reviews that this vault uses to compare home remedies with prescribed care.
