Differentials — open questions

• Does treating infantile seborrhoeic dermatitis early (emollient/barrier care) change the chance of a toddler later meeting AD criteria, or is the ISD→AD progression just early AD being recognised?
• In toddlers with AD, does treating molluscum (vs watchful waiting) shorten the molluscum-dermatitis course or reduce eczema flares, given half clear by 12 months regardless?
• What proportion of toddler “eczema not responding to steroids” in primary care turns out to be scabies incognito, and should a household itch history be a routine question before stepping up potency?
