• Does petrolatum’s upregulation of antimicrobial peptides (Czarnowicki) translate into fewer S. aureus infections in toddlers with AD, given that BEEP and Cochrane found more skin infections with emollients from birth?
• Has any trial in under-5s with established eczema compared a fragrance-free acidic syndet with leave-on emollient washing on flare frequency?
• What is the risk of mineral-oil (baby oil) aspiration/lipoid pneumonia in toddlers when oil bottles are kept at bath time — is it addressed in any eczema guideline?
