• Has any emollient-related fire death or serious burn been recorded in a child under 5, and does toddler nightwear or bedding actually build up enough residue to matter at normal heater distances?
• Does washing a toddler with a leave-on emollient beat a liquid acidic syndet for eczema control? BATHE’s editorial named soap-substitute regimens as an evidence gap, and no head-to-head trial was found.
• Do barrier ointments prevent saliva-triggered facial eczema flares in teething toddlers with atopic dermatitis, and do lanolin-containing ointments raise contact-allergy risk at this site?
