No Moisture Therapy / Perioral Dermatitis — open questions
- Has any parent applied NMT (or moisturiser withdrawal) to a child under 5, and are there case reports of dehydration, eczema herpeticum or hospital admission linked to it? No paediatric reports found in round 4.
- Did Kenji Sato’s own clinic publish any outcome data on moisturiser withdrawal, separate from the TCS-free Fukaya 2016 cohort (where emollients were allowed)?
- What is the incidence of periorificial dermatitis in 1–4-year-olds using mild facial TCS or inhaled steroids via spacer/mask, and does wiping the face after inhaler use measurably prevent it?
- For a toddler with POD after potent facial TCS, is abrupt cessation or a short low-potency taper better for the rebound flare? No head-to-head paediatric data found.
