Severity scores & atopic march — source conflicts

Conflict: [Classic atopic-march model, cohorts reviewed in Medicina 2024] says early AD progresses in sequence to asthma and rhinitis. [Belgrave et al., PLoS Med, 2014] says only 3.1% of all children (~7% of those with symptoms) follow that trajectory, and that profiles are heterogeneous. Unresolved — add to open_questions.

Conflict: [Kunz et al., Dermatology, 1997] proposed objective-SCORAD bands <15 / 15–40 / >40 by untested consensus; the total-SCORAD bands <25 / 25–50 / >50 were later derived by adding 10 points (Healio; corrected round 10 against the PubMed abstract). [Chopra et al., BJD, 2017] places them at 29 and 49. A 2024 dupilumab-trial threshold analysis (Wollenberg, BJD abstract) produced different five-band schemes again. Conflict: [Leshem et al., BJD, 2015, paediatric + adult; verified against PubMed abstract round 10] puts EASI mild/moderate at 7 and moderate/severe at 21. [Chopra et al., BJD, 2017] puts them at 6 and 23. Neither was derived in 1–4-year-olds. Unresolved — add to open_questions.
