Employer Nomination Scheme
The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS, Subclass 186) is an Australian permanent employer-sponsored visa that allows workers already in Australia on temporary skilled visas (formerly TSS 482, now Australia Skills in Demand Visa) to transition to permanent residency via employer nomination. For South African workers, the ENS is typically reached after 2–3 years on a temporary SID visa where the employer nominates the worker for permanent residence. It is administered by the Australian Department of Home Affairs.
