Stamp 4

Stamp 4 is an Irish immigration permission (issued by the Department of Justice) that allows a person to live and work in Ireland without the need for an employment permit. For Ireland Critical Skills Employment Permit holders, Stamp 4 is granted directly upon completion of the CSEP period — without requiring a further permit application to DETE. It is valid for 2 years and renewable, and after 60 months of residency allows application for long-term residence. Stamp 4 is the key milestone that converts a temporary permit worker into a near-permanent resident, making it the most important post-CSEP outcome on the Ireland pathway.
