Modbus

Modbus is the de-facto industrial fieldbus protocol for integrating UPS status into PLC and SCADA environments. Variants include Modbus RTU (serial), Modbus TCP (Ethernet), and the closely-related Jbus (a French superset historically used by some European industrial vendors). The Sentinel Dual SDU page lists “Modbus, Jbus” alongside SNMP, signalling the unit is intended for both IT and industrial deployments.
