Sentinel Dual SDU

The Sentinel Dual SDU is Riello’s mid-power online double-conversion UPS, available as a rack or tower unit at 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 kVA — kVA equals kW so the unit power factor is 1. Single-phase input/single-phase output (1:1) variants cover the full range; three-phase input/single-phase output (3:1) variants are offered at 8 kVA and 10 kVA. Internal or extended battery runtime is configurable.

The series is positioned for critical loads that need high uptime under unstable utility power: data-centre blade cabinets, fire and security systems, medical equipment, and industrial PLC environments. Communication is broad — SNMP up to version 3, Modbus, and Jbus — covering both IT and industrial protocols. The unit can run standalone or in 1+1 dual-parallel-redundant or N+1 configurations for 99.999% availability targets.

When to choose this

  • Critical loads in the 4–10 kW range
  • Rack-mount density required (blade servers, IT cabinets) or convertible to tower
  • Need for 1+1 or N+1 redundant parallel architecture
  • Industrial protocols required alongside SNMP (Modbus, Jbus)
  • Three-phase utility supply with single-phase critical loads (3:1 variants)
