Multi-Switch ATS

Multi-Switch ATS is a single-phase 30 A automatic transfer switch that takes two input power sources — typically two upstream UPS units — and presents a single output to a rack-level load. The user designates a preferred input; on failure of the preferred source the unit transfers within the time window specified by the ITIC-CBEMA tables. The Standby Systems page also calls out compliance with IEEE 1100-1999, which specifies a 21 ms holdup over a voltage range of 100–240 VAC.

The unit has redundant internal power supplies and controls so that an internal component failure does not drop the load. Detailed remote control and power metering surfaces overload conditions and other anomalies. This is the right product when “Source A or Source B feeds the rack, never both, never neither” is the requirement — common in single-rack deployments where two parallel UPS strings already exist.

When to choose this

  • Single rack with two upstream UPS sources, one rack output
  • Need automatic, fast (21 ms) failover between sources
  • ITIC-CBEMA / IEEE 1100-1999 compliance required
  • Power metering at the rack feed level
