World Allergy Organization

The World Allergy Organization (WAO) is an international federation of allergy societies. Together with McMaster University it produced the GLAD-P (Guidelines for Allergic Disease Prevention) series using GRADE methods. The 2015 probiotics guideline suggests probiotics for pregnant women, breastfeeding women and infants at high risk of allergy, mainly to prevent eczema. All three recommendations are conditional and rest on very low-quality evidence (Fiocchi 2015).
