Code EB Combination

Code EB is the combination-vehicle code: a Code B vehicle towing a trailer over 750 kg, or an articulated vehicle up to 3 500 kg GCM. The heavier EC1 and EC codes extend this to larger articulated combinations. It builds on the Code B competency set with trailer and combination handling.

Scope

• Applies to: Articulated/combination vehicles ≤3 500 kg GCM, or a Code B vehicle towing a trailer >750 kg. EC1/EC cover heavier combinations.
• Minimum age: 17 (EB)
• Control scope: Code B controls plus trailer/combination handling considerations
