Code B Light Motor Vehicle

Code B (old Code 2 / Code 08) is the light-motor-vehicle (car) licence code — the most commonly taken. It covers vehicles up to 3 500 kg GVM, including small minibuses and goods vehicles, plus a trailer up to 750 kg. The Vehicle Controls section assesses the standard 11-control car layout (automatics omit the clutch).
