Hazard Lights
Hazard lights flash all indicators together to warn of a stationary hazard. They do not legitimise illegal Stopping and Parking. Not in the Section 3 numbered list, so tagged alleged. Related to the Vehicle Lights rule.

Purpose
Warn other road users of a hazard or that the vehicle is stationary/broken down.
When used
When the vehicle is a hazard (breakdown, obstruction) — not for normal parking.
Risks of incorrect use
- Misuse desensitises others
- Cannot indicate a turn while hazards are on
Question patterns
- “Which control performs function X?” — component identification.
- Distractor trap: Using them to justify stopping in a no-stopping zone.
