The hooter / horn (control 11) is a warning device to prevent collisions, not a tool for expressing irritation. Misuse is an offence.

Purpose

Alerts other road users to avoid a collision or signal presence.

When used

To warn of danger; not for annoyance or unnecessary use in built-up areas at night.
