Seatbelt

Evidence note: Tested under Rules of the Road, not the official Section 3 controls list. evidence_strength: alleged.

Purpose

Restrains occupants in a crash or emergency stop.

When used

Worn at all times by driver and passengers before moving off.

Risks of incorrect use

  • Ejection or serious injury in a crash
  • Legal offence if not worn

Question patterns

  • “Which control performs function X?” — component identification.
  • Distractor trap: Believing it is optional for short trips or for rear passengers.
